Subscriber Information Service SIS
Based on regularly imported data from multiple sources, the Subscriber
Information Service SIS as a highly important and business-critical platform
enables a large telecom provider to provide numerous services mainly used for
authentication and authorisation of customer accesses to various services of the
provider.
The platform was designed, developed and completely integrated by Intersys in
highly complex structures. For more than ten years, the platform is continuously
being enhanced, adapted to changing requirements and technologically kept on a
state-of-the-art level.

Internet access on the road – secure and user-friendly thanks to Intersys
The PWLAN service of a large Swiss telecom provider enables the customers on the
road to do a fast and easy internet login at a hot-spot place. Login with the
mobile number, get an SMS with a one-time-password and enter this – and here you
go with surfing. Depending on circumstances, even easier login methods are
possible such as fully automated login via SIM-card authentication. Ensuring
that everything goes secure and the invoicing receives the correct session data,
that’s what the Intersys system is doing in the background.

Real-time Informations of Mobile Subscribers with the SS7 Signaling
Gateway
In order to offer its clients userfriendly locaction based services, the SS7
gateway developed by Intersys continuously provides the telecom provider with
real-time status information about its mobile subscribers in simple and
protected manner. The mobile subscribers are thus happy about helpful services
corresponding to their current geographic location.

Optimum service integration thanks to a new Subscriber Information Service
After taking over a local broadband supplier, the large telecom provider in the
Anglo-Saxon region had to integrate various backend systems. Intersys hereby has
realized the new central subscriber data base SISDB, including an SIS
provisioning interface. Various customer services are herewith accessing on the
correspondent subscriber data ensuring a smooth authorisation check and the
transmission of the correct billing data, while a performance monitoring
integrated in the SISDB is guaranteeing an optimum effectiveness.

Various web-based applications enable the logistics provider to automatically
clear through the parcels coming into Switzerland from abroad. Intersys has

increased needs. These highly critical applications, mainly active at night

Due to the daily execution of all test runs during the enhancement of a
long-lasting system of a telecom-provider, the single releases are a priori
delivered with a minimum amount of errors. Herewith the implementation cycles

the deliveries to the client considerably increased. Besides the hereby induced
cost saving, the use of open source tools brought an additional significant

Monitoring par Excellence with Continuous Testing
As a side product of the permanent automation of regression tests (Continuous
Testing), the operating department of the telecom provide is receiving far
better measurement data in regard of the entire system performance. Combined
with further test procedures und freely adjustable test intervals, any desirable
level of details can be adapted to the system monitoring. By using open source
tools, also a significant licence and maintenance cost saving was achieved.
Monitored in this was, the customer’s system is hence clearly fulfilling its
task as a business-critical, high-performing and long-lasting system.

Web-based energy-saving-model for SMEs
For a cantonal Swiss energy supplier and its SME-customers, Intersys established a web-based energy-saving-model. The participating SMEs are enabled to online define and execute all necessary steps to optimise their energy consumption, including target and action definitions. SMEs reaching the commonly defined goals are entitled to an energy cost reduction.

Antenna-Network Overview par Excellence |
|

Alarm Management System
Realization of a new system for the transmission and visualisation of alarm and status reports for a broadcasting-network with several hundred locations allover Switzerland. The decentrally generated reports are allowing an exact availability monitoring of each antenna location and thus enabling an immediate intervention in case of malfunctions. Seamlessly integrated in the surrounding systems, the alarm management system ensures an optimum guaranteeing of the service level agreements towards the customer.
Intersys has established the ready-to-use system, including system specification, development, hardware procurement and installation as well as the commissioning.

Realization of a Single Sign On solution (SSO) for a mobile provider. Intersys established an order handling solution for a Swiss mobile provider, enabling the points of sales to immediately verify the identification and solvency of mobile phone purchasers. Web-based research in the Swiss media data-base (SMD)
Thanks to Intersys, visitors of the Swiss Social Archives can have an electronic look at the collection of newspaper and magazine articles. Meanwhile, the paper collection has been suspended. Designed and developed as an open-source application, PresseDox enables the Swiss Social Archives web-based access to the complete Swiss media data-base. As a research and bundling application, PresseDox puts together the corresponding articles and prepares them for printing, according to the customer’s request. The use of open-source technology guarantees a comprehensive future fitness.

Complexity simplified by Intersys
More than 160 mobile providers in about 100 countries are handled by the international roaming broker. More than a billion data signal units must be processed and be invoiced to the right customer. A jungle of data has here been transformed into a clear and user-friendly accounting system, individually made by Intersys. The entire automated invoice generating can easily be managed via the online reporting system.

Among others financed by the Swiss National Fund SNF, various Swiss universities are contributing projects to the national research issues NFS (National Forschungs-Schwerpunkte). Time and project issues required an individual realization of a load-test application, finally developed and seamlessly implemented by Intersys.
